Job description
Job Summary
The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in managing financial processes and ensuring the accuracy of the organization’s financial reporting. This position entails oversight of accounting operations, including reconciliations, journal entries, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Conduct reconciliations of general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies.
- Coordinate with auditors during financial audits.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
