Sr. QA Analyst
100% Remote (Located in EST)
12 Month Contract (Possibility of Extension)
Pay Rate: $62.85/hr W2
Sr. QA Analyst Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team of full-stack developers, focused on ensuring the excellence and dependability of new business applications. The perfect candidate will possess robust experience in UI/UX, API, browser, back-end, SQL, and X-Ray testing, and be skilled in developing and executing thorough test plans and cases. Comfort in an Agile atmosphere, with a collaborative spirit to work alongside developers and designers while effectively communicating defects, test outcomes, and regression concerns, is essential. Experience in the insurance sector or within startups, as well as familiarity with mobile and accessibility testing, test automation SaaS solutions, and AI-driven testing tools, is highly advantageous.
Sr. QA Analyst Daily Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth testing of new business applications and features to uncover defects and ensure high-quality outputs.
- Engage closely with developers and team members to grasp project requirements and specifications.
- Formulate and execute test plans and cases to assess the functionality, performance, and security facets of the software.
- Document and report findings, defects, and test outcomes clearly to the development team.
- Actively participate in an Agile development workflow, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Assist in the ongoing enhancement of our QA processes and methodologies.
Sr. QA Analyst Required Competencies
- Partner with designers and team members to comprehend UI/experience specifications and requirements.
- Ensure UI/experience aligns with designs/prototypes to satisfy requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in testing APIs, browser functionality, and validating back-end data.
- Familiarity with the X-Ray testing tool.
- Experience with SQL testing.
Sr. QA Analyst Preferred Competencies
- Experience in QA and the insurance sector: Strong background in software QA/testing, ideally within the insurance field or a startup environment.
- Web, Mobile & Accessibility Testing: Skills in testing across various browsers, operating systems, devices, MacOS, iOS/Android, and email applications, with understanding of WCAG and JAWS accessibility testing.
- Test Management & Automation: Practical experience with test case management tools, test automation SaaS platforms, and utilizing AI-driven tools to enhance automated testing.
- Defect and Test Reporting: Proven capability in executing test plans, identifying defects and regression issues, and generating detailed test results and pass/fail reports.
Educational Background and Experience
- At least 6 years of relevant work experience in analyzing, testing, and implementing business system changes or conducting user acceptance testing.
- {OR} A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Information Technology, or a related field along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in analyzing, testing, and implementing business system changes or user acceptance testing.
