Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist (CST) for our Operating Room focused on General Surgery. In this essential role, you will play a vital part in the surgical team, ensuring that all preparations for surgical procedures are met. Your contributions will be crucial in providing top-tier care in our acute-care community teaching hospital, which serves a diverse patient population throughout Central Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and organization of the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Ensure the availability of surgical instruments and supplies for each surgery.
- Work collaboratively with surgeons and nursing staff to provide effective surgical assistance.
- Maintain a sterile environment to prevent contamination during operations.
- Participate in post-operative care and the cleaning of the surgical area.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
- Experience in an acute care or operating room setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
