Job Summary
The position of Surgical Technologist in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, requires an individual dedicated to ensuring the sterility and safety of the surgical environment. This role is crucial in preparing and maintaining the operating room while adhering to established sterilization protocols. The Surgical Technologist will play a pivotal part in supporting the surgical team at Lutheran Medical Center by performing various tasks that enhance patient safety and surgical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all surgical instruments and items are properly sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist in the preparation of the operating room before surgical procedures.
- Support surgeons and other healthcare providers by anticipating their needs during operations.
- Maintain and adhere to fire safety processes and protocols within the surgical environment.
- Evaluate patient needs and assist in delivering high-quality care during surgical procedures.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Surgical Tech II or equivalent Operating Room Technician program is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sterilization criteria and safety procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team and adapt to dynamic environments.
