Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist in our Lafayette, Colorado facility plays a crucial role in supporting the surgical team by ensuring that the operating room is prepared for surgeries. This position involves the maintenance of a sterile environment and the assessment of necessary equipment and supplies. The successful candidate will have experience with sterilization protocols and will contribute to the overall safety processes during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and ensure all surgical supplies meet sterilization standards.
- Assist the surgical team by providing necessary instruments and materials during operations.
- Monitor and assess patient needs during surgical procedures.
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment in accordance with health regulations.
- Label and organize equipment and supplies effectively.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to enhance patient care.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (ORT).
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
- Experience as a Tech II or similar role is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of sterilization requirements and safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Good communication skills and teamwork orientation.
