Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist / OR Tech – CST / ST is an essential member of the surgical team, dedicated to ensuring precision and purpose in each operation. This role involves comprehensive responsibilities ranging from meticulous pre-operative preparations to careful adherence to post-operative protocols, all aimed at enhancing patient care and surgical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the operating room by ensuring all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and sterile before the procedure.
- Support the surgical team during operations by passing instruments and anticipating the needs of the surgeons.
- Uphold strict protocols to maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgical process.
- Follow post-operative procedures to ensure patient safety and proper recovery.
- Engage in ongoing patient care by monitoring vital signs and assisting in patient transport as required.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Surgical Technician (ST) is required.
- Proven experience in surgical settings is preferred, with a strong understanding of surgical instruments and protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Passion for patient care and a commitment to adhering to safety and health regulations.
