Job Summary
The Trade Compliance Manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to international trade regulations. This position involves oversight and management of compliance strategies, ensuring the company meets all regulatory obligations while optimizing trade operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of trade compliance regulations and be proactive in identifying and mitigating risks.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage trade compliance programs to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.
- Monitor changes in trade regulations to assess their impact on company operations.
- Conduct internal audits to evaluate compliance practices and prepare for any external audits.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance-related issues and best practices.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance efforts are aligned with business objectives.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and stakeholders involved in trade compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Law, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in trade compliance or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of international trade laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
