Job Summary
The Trademark Paralegal plays a critical role in supporting the legal team with the management and protection of trademarks. This position involves various tasks such as conducting trademark searches, preparing and filing trademark applications, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and filing of trademark applications.
- Conduct comprehensive trademark searches to evaluate potential conflicts.
- Manage trademark portfolios and renewals efficiently.
- Maintain and organize legal documents and correspondence related to trademarks.
- Assist with the monitoring of trademark deadlines and action items.
- Collaborate with attorneys to prepare materials for opposition or cancellation proceedings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a paralegal, specifically in intellectual property or trademark law.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Familiarity with trademark databases and computer software pertinent to paralegal duties.
- A degree in law or a related field, along with a paralegal certification, is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently on tasks.
