Job Summary
The Cost Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s cost accounting processes, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of costs associated with manufacturing and operations. This role involves analyzing financial data to support strategic decisions and improve profitability.
Responsibilities
- Track and monitor production costs, preparing necessary reports for management.
- Analyze variances between budgeted and actual costs, providing insights for operational efficiency.
- Assist with the development of cost standards and pricing strategies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing detailed cost information.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize inventory management and production processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cost accounting or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial reporting.
- Familiarity with accounting software and databases.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
