Job Summary
The Vascular Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing advanced nursing care to patients following vascular surgical procedures. This position demands a qualified nurse who can deliver high-quality patient care in a specialized step-down unit, overseeing post-operative recovery and aiding in rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs and clinical status post-vascular surgery.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding recovery and care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with standards.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and changes in patient conditions.
Qualifications
- Current RN license issued by the appropriate state regulatory agency.
- Experience in vascular nursing or a related field is preferred.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
