Job Summary
The Wastewater Level B Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities. This position is responsible for monitoring and managing the treatment processes, as well as ensuring that the facility complies with local, state, and federal regulations regarding wastewater management.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor all machinery associated with wastewater treatment processes.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collect and analyze water samples to assess treatment efficiency and compliance.
- Document operational data and report any irregularities or maintenance needs.
- Stay updated on safety protocols and adhere to all environmental regulations.
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior operators and staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in wastewater treatment preferred.
- Valid Level B Wastewater Operator Certification.
- Experience in wastewater treatment operations or related fields is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
