Job description
The Yard Hostler plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of trailers and containers within the yard, utilizing a spotter truck. Key responsibilities include maneuvering trailers to loading docks, conducting equipment inspections, and ensuring the yard remains organized to facilitate warehouse operations. Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with a minimum of one year of experience in operating a yard hostler or heavy machinery. A valid California driver’s license is necessary, along with the capability to handle physically demanding tasks in a variety of weather conditions.
