Job Summary
The OR30RN position involves providing specialized nursing care within the surgical environment, focusing on Neuro, ENT, and Thoracic procedures. This role is pivotal in ensuring that patients receive comprehensive support before, during, and after their surgeries, contributing to safe and effective patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in surgical procedures related to neuro, ENT, and thoracic disciplines.
- Monitoring patients’ vital signs and helping maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure a well-coordinated approach to patient care.
- Administering medications and managing anesthesia as required during procedures.
- Providing pre-operative and post-operative patient education regarding recovery processes.
- Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining records related to surgical procedures.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from an accredited institution.
- Experience in perioperative nursing, especially in neuro, ENT, and thoracic surgery.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Attention to detail and strong assessment capabilities.
