Job Summary
The role involves the operation and configuration of the unitizer and associated machinery to guarantee precise banding, wrapping, tagging, stacking, scanning, and maintaining unit quantities. This position also entails the completion of production and quality reporting, responsive operation of a forklift as required, and proactive equipment maintenance while adhering to production timelines and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate the unitizer and related equipment.
- Ensure accurate banding, wrapping, tagging, stacking, scanning, and unit counts.
- Complete required production and quality reports.
- Operate a forklift when necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Follow prescribed production schedules and safety practices.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to interpret factory instructions and utilize a tape measure accurately.
- Basic mathematics and practical reasoning skills are necessary.
- Experience in the corrugated industry is preferred.
- Minimum of six months of experience in a Press or Finishing Department.
- Forklift operating experience is desired; a current lift truck operator license may be essential.
