Job Summary
The role involves overseeing around 45 production team members to ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards while executing the production schedule for the shift. The position requires effective coaching and development of staff, management of timekeeping, assistance with recruitment and training processes, and a focus on continuous improvement in alliance with plant management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead production employees to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process.
- Implement and execute the production plan effectively across the shift.
- Coach and mentor employees to foster their development and performance.
- Oversee timekeeping and ensure accurate logging of employee hours.
- Support the hiring and training of new staff members.
- Drive initiatives focused on continuous improvement in production operations.
Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of supervisory or leadership experience in a production setting is required.
- Experience in manufacturing supervision is preferable.
- A bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial management, or a related discipline is favored but not mandatory.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in safety practices, quality assurance, communication, problem-solving, and computer usage.
