Job Summary
The Vice President of Legal will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the legal department to facilitate GITAI’s expansion. This position will handle contracts, manage government initiatives, and ensure compliance with corporate governance standards. It will also require the expert drafting and negotiation of contracts, as well as the ability to simplify intricate legal concepts into actionable insights for the executive team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the legal strategies and operations to align with company growth.
- Oversee contract negotiations and drafting to safeguard company interests.
- Translate complex legal frameworks into practical guidance for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and corporate governance policies.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
- A minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with at least 1 year in a venture-backed startup environment.
- U.S. citizenship is essential due to export control laws and potential security clearance requirements.
