Job Summary
The Flexo Press Operator is responsible for overseeing the operation of the flexographic printing press during the first shift. This role involves ensuring that printing processes are carried out efficiently and in accordance with production standards, while also maintaining high levels of quality and safety. The operator will work closely with other team members to achieve production goals and enhance workflow.
Responsibilities
- Operate flexographic printing presses to produce quality printed materials according to specifications.
- Monitor the printing process to ensure adherence to established quality standards and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Prepare and set up the press before production runs, including selecting appropriate materials and inks.
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on the printing press to maintain optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and material usage for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production workflows and improve efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Flexo Press Operator or similar role in a printing environment.
- Strong understanding of flexographic printing techniques and equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and perform quality checks on printed materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with other staff members effectively.
