Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays an essential role in supporting surgical teams in the operating room by providing assistance before, during, and after surgical procedures. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is capable of managing various tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient operating room environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize the surgical instruments and supplies required for procedures.
- Assist surgeons and surgical staff during operations by handling instruments and maintaining the sterile field.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to strict sterilization and cleanliness protocols.
- In collaboration with the surgical team, provide preoperative and postoperative care by preparing patients and monitoring their status.
- Manage the inventory of surgical supplies and report any shortages or needs to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of an accredited surgical technologist program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred.
- Experience in a surgical setting is highly regarded.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with medical staff.
