Job Summary
The Recovery Specialist is responsible for delivering personalized recovery sessions and supportive services as an integral part of the patient’s treatment team. This role includes performing substance use evaluations and ensuring smooth transitions to suitable treatment programs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual recovery sessions tailored to the needs of patients.
- Offer supportive services to assist patients in their recovery journey.
- Be a collaborative member of the patient’s treatment team.
- Perform comprehensive substance use assessments to identify treatment needs.
- Facilitate warm hand-offs to appropriate treatment programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 18 months of personal experience in drug and alcohol recovery.
- An associate’s degree is preferred.
- Previous work or volunteer experience in a similar capacity as a recovery specialist is advantageous.
