Job Summary
This role entails executing sophisticated preventive maintenance, conducting inspections, troubleshooting, and performing repairs on various hotel building systems, which encompass HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. The position also includes addressing maintenance requests from guests and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and codes while managing inventory and maintenance tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced preventive maintenance and thorough inspections of building systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to safety standards and code requirements in all maintenance work.
- Maintain and manage equipment inventory effectively.
- Communicate thoroughly across shifts to ensure smooth operations.
- Train and mentor other engineering staff as necessary.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in general maintenance, particularly in advanced repairs.
- A minimum of two years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience is required.
- A two-year technical diploma in HVAC or refrigeration is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is essential.
- Licensure or certifications in refrigeration or electrical work (either completed or in progress) are necessary.
- Universal CFC certification is required along with any relevant state and federal credentials.
