Job Summary
The position involves overseeing and fine-tuning pellet mill computer systems, moisture metrics, drying equipment, rotex machinery, and conveyors to ensure smooth operation and reduce unexpected downtimes. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and maintenance tasks while also maintaining accurate operational records and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize the pellet mill computer systems and associated equipment.
- Ensure moisture levels and drying processes are maintained effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Organize and coordinate maintenance and repair activities.
- Document operational data accurately for performance tracking.
- Support initiatives for continuous improvement in operations.
- Provide training and guidance to new operators.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of two years’ experience with computer operations in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong attention to detail alongside effective communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to handle job demands, flexible scheduling, and successful completion of pre-employment screenings.
