Job Summary
The Specimen Technician plays a vital role in the laboratory by managing the accurate entry of test orders, as well as preparing and processing specimens for analysis. This position also involves the transportation of specimens and addressing any issues that may arise concerning specimen types.
Responsibilities
- Enter test orders data accurately into the system.
- Process and prepare laboratory specimens for various analyses.
- Manage the pickup and delivery of specimens in a timely manner.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to different specimen types.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience in a production or medical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
