Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (Certified) or Surgical Technologist (Non Certified) plays a vital role in the surgical team in Mitchell, South Dakota. This position is essential for ensuring that patients receive top-quality care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The technologist will directly support the Surgery Leader and/or Surgeon within the operating rooms, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of surgical operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team in preparing for operations, including managing and sterilizing surgical instruments.
- Maintain a sterile environment by following established protocols and safety precautions.
- Support patients and families by providing care and comfort before and after surgical interventions.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate smooth surgical procedures and patient flow.
Qualifications
- Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technologist Program is preferred.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist may be required based on position classification.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure clinical environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical personnel.
