Job Summary
The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the independent planning and delivery of professional nursing care to patients within the Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role involves providing care that aligns with physician directives, established protocols, and adheres to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
Responsibilities
- Independently assess and identify patient needs in the Medical ICU.
- Administer nursing care following physician orders and accepted clinical guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act while providing patient care.
- Collaborate with the medical team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Possession of a valid Registered Nurse license in Georgia.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a Registered Professional Nurse role is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
