Job Summary
The Attendant Caregiver will provide essential support to individuals in need, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role focuses on assisting clients with daily living activities, fostering an environment of compassion and respect while encouraging their independence.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients in mobility and transferring as needed.
- Prepare and assist with meals, ensuring dietary needs are respected.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ quality of life.
- Engage clients in conversation and recreational activities to promote social interaction.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to empathize with clients.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with client care.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is advantageous.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
