**Electrical Supervisor**
Waxahachie, TX
The **Electrical Supervisor** will oversee electrical maintenance activities within the plant and will be responsible for leading the electrical maintenance team and implementing the site Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategy. This position collaborates closely with operations leadership to ensure that all equipment and systems are upheld in a secure, efficient, and dependable manner while also contributing to reliability enhancements, equipment strategies, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Supervisor:**
– Direct electrical maintenance activities, fostering a robust safety culture and ensuring adherence to all safety, environmental, and workplace regulations.
– Create and update risk assessments, track safety performance metrics, and ensure the prompt completion of safety incident reports along with corrective action plans.
– Manage regular electrical maintenance activities, as well as preventive and predictive maintenance programs aimed at improving the reliability of plant equipment and power supply systems.
– Establish and promote training programs, continuous learning, and engagement initiatives for the unionized electrical maintenance team.
– Act as a technical authority on insulation manufacturing processes, equipment, and procedures, including DCS control systems, high-voltage equipment, PLC systems, AC/DC drives, process instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
– Employ strong troubleshooting abilities to pinpoint reliability and cost-saving opportunities, overseeing and managing project work as necessary.
– Lead the implementation of the TPM strategy while cultivating a workplace culture founded on trust, respect, collaboration, and transparent communication.
– Collaborate with Production to enhance machinery performance and employee productivity and ensure supervisory practices align with the collective bargaining agreement and the grievance resolution process.
**Qualifications for the Electrical Supervisor:**
– A minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing setting, with a strong emphasis on electrical maintenance.
– A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field or a technology diploma, ideally in electrical maintenance, or a related combination of education and experience.
– Experience with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable, and certification in CMRP is preferred.
– Proven ability to engage with employees at all levels, manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and lead unionized hourly personnel.
– Capacity for making fact-based, data-informed decisions, including data analysis and graph interpretation.
– Strong aptitude for driving change, effective communication across all organizational levels, and performing successfully in both collaborative and hands-on work environments.
