Plant Operator
Park City, IL
$21/HR

As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for executing site-specific tasks and duties within our manufacturing facility. Your role will involve handling various construction chemicals during the production and shipping processes, and you’ll need to be proficient in operating diverse equipment used in product manufacturing. The position also includes performing routine maintenance, operating a forklift, and executing quality control tests.

Responsibilities of the Plant Operator:

  • Assist in the blending and mixing of chemical admixtures.
  • Unloading raw materials from different delivery methods (bulk tanker, pallets, drums, totes) according to site-specific instructions.
  • Load bulk trucks and different types of packaging with finished products following site work guidelines.
  • Utilize a forklift to carry out various tasks.
  • Conduct required tests and inspections on both raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment in your designated area.
  • Adhere to the use of designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure all safety measures are properly implemented.
  • Comprehend and complete all mandatory environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) training regulations.
  • Observe environmental, health, and safety regulations (EH&S) and comply with company policies.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned and mandated by the company.

Plant Operator Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
  • Forklift experience is highly regarded.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in basic math skills.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow work instructions effectively.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative while also capable of working independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Fundamental computer skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing schedules.
