Job Summary
The Laboratory Support Specialist (overnight) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory processes during nighttime hours. This position involves providing essential support to laboratory staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate will contribute to a team-oriented environment, ensuring that laboratory tasks are executed efficiently and accurately while adhering to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist laboratory personnel with various tasks during overnight shifts.
- Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of laboratory equipment and workspaces.
- Monitor and record laboratory results, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Adhere to safety regulations and procedures at all times.
- Facilitate the proper handling and storage of samples and materials.
- Support inventory management by tracking supplies and requesting replenishments as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in a scientific field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a laboratory or healthcare environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team.
