Job description
**Laboratory Support Specialist**
The Laboratory Support Specialist plays a key role in the reception, organization, and processing of blood specimens while assisting Medical Technologists in their routine tasks. Responsibilities include maintaining laboratory equipment, overseeing inventory management, and ensuring that all samples are accurately labeled and stored in compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, though an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. Additionally, applicants need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds, hold a valid driver’s license, and be available to work overnight shifts, including at least one weekend day each week.
