Job description

Job Summary

The Litigation Legal Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys in managing and processing legal cases. This position is essential for ensuring that various litigation activities are organized and efficient, contributing to the overall success of legal operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in the preparation and organization of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate records for ongoing litigation matters.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information and documents.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings as needed to support case strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with court procedures and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a legal assistant, particularly in litigation, is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A degree or certification in paralegal studies or a related field is a plus.
