Job description
Job Summary
The Senior Contracts Attorney will be instrumental in managing the organization’s legal contracts, providing expert legal advice, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role includes reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various types of legal agreements while collaborating closely with various departments to support business operations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and negotiate contract terms to mitigate risks and ensure favorable outcomes for the organization.
- Draft and review a wide array of legal agreements, including but not limited to, vendor contracts, employment agreements, and compliance documents.
- Provide legal counsel to internal stakeholders regarding contract interpretations and compliance matters.
- Develop and maintain a library of standard contract templates and guidelines to streamline the contract creation process.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on contract compliance and best practices.
- Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations that may impact contracts and advise accordingly.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in contract law or a similar field.
- Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of legal terminology and principles.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
