Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist / OR Tech – CST / ST plays a crucial role in the surgical team, contributing to the precision and care required throughout the surgical process. This position involves supporting both surgeons and patients to ensure that surgical procedures are carried out smoothly and that post-operative care is effective and efficient. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and possess an enthusiastic approach to the responsibilities associated with surgical operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining a sterile environment within the operating room.
- Support the surgical team during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Ensure that all instruments are prepared and accounted for prior to surgical procedures.
- Contribute to post-operative care to facilitate patient recovery.
- Actively participate in ensuring effective communication among the surgical team.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Surgical Technician (ST) is required.
- Proven experience in a surgical environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a surgical team.
