Job Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist at the Breast Center plays a vital role in delivering diagnostic imaging services with a focus on breast health. This position involves utilizing ultrasound technology to assist in the assessment and monitoring of breast conditions, contributing to exceptional patient care and treatment outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality breast ultrasound examinations adhering to established protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss findings and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of ultrasound results in the system.
- Ensure all ultrasound equipment is functioning properly and conduct regular quality control checks.
- Assist in the education of patients about procedures and provide emotional support during examinations.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited ultrasound technology program.
- Current certification from a recognized body, such as ARDMS in Breast Ultrasound.
- Proficient knowledge of ultrasound procedures, anatomy, and pathology.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience in a breast imaging center is preferred.
