Job Summary
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care within a step-down unit at a Level II trauma facility. This role necessitates adaptability as the nurse may float between various units while managing patient flow effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for patients in the step-down unit.
- Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4.
- Float between different areas of the facility as required.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing care plans effectively.
Qualifications
- Current registered nursing license in Texas.
- A minimum of one year of recent experience in a step-down unit.
- Proficient in using Epic electronic health record system.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are mandatory.
