Job Summary
The role involves spearheading and cultivating the engineering team that is accountable for the transition of customer projects from the initial handoff to the phase of qualification and steady-state production. This position encompasses ownership of the complete New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring effective management of technical execution, customer interactions, resource allocation, budget oversight, and performance evaluation, while emphasizing quality enhancements, adherence to schedules, cost management, and ongoing improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering organization through the NPI process from client handoff to production.
- Oversee technical execution and manage key relationships with customers.
- Allocate resources efficiently and manage budgets to meet project goals.
- Monitor and drive performance metrics focused on quality and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- At least 12 years of manufacturing engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.
- Proven track record of successful NPI launches.
- Strong expertise in manufacturing processes and development.
- Hands-on experience in methodologies such as DOE, SPC, root cause analysis, and FMEA.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Advanced degree preferred.
