Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) Per Diem position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Mullica Hill focuses on delivering high-quality post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The role requires dynamic nursing skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during the recovery phase.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and assess their recovery post-anesthesia.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care, including administering medications and managing pain relief.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Respond to patient needs promptly and effectively to foster a supportive recovery environment.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state.
- Experience in post-anesthesia care or critical care settings is preferred.
- Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be preferred.
