Job Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals within an STI clinic by executing essential clinical tasks. Responsibilities
- Assist clinicians with routine medical procedures including venipuncture and injections.
- Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient consultations and procedures.
- Document patient interactions and care details in electronic medical records.
- Provide educational support to patients regarding their care and procedures.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and possession of a Certificate of Completion.
- A minimum of one year experience in a medical assisting role, specifically with skills in venipuncture and injection administration.
