Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a vital role in the operating room by supporting surgical teams and ensuring that all procedures run smoothly. This position requires preparing the surgical environment, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining high standards of patient safety throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are ready and functional.
- Sterilize surgical instruments and maintain a clean and safe environment for surgeries.
- Assist the surgical team during operations by providing necessary support and anticipation of their needs.
- Ensure the safety of patients by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with surgical staff to facilitate efficient surgical procedures.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment and respond to emergencies effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
