Job Summary
The Emergency Department Technician is instrumental in delivering direct patient care while also offering clerical assistance to the nursing and medical personnel within the emergency department setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist medical staff with various procedures and tasks.
- Handle the management and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Collect patient specimens as necessary for testing.
- Document patient observations and related data accurately.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is a must.
- At least six months of experience in a patient care capacity or completion of a military medic training program is required.
- Possession of a relevant professional certification such as EMT, paramedic, medical assistant (MA), or certified nursing assistant (CNA) is essential.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is also mandatory.
