Job Summary
The position of Occupational Therapist based in Mount Vernon, Ohio, offers a competitive hourly rate between $40 to $55, along with a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. This role involves managing a diverse case load, with a focus equally split between pediatric and inpatient patients.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ needs and create tailored treatment plans.
- Provide 50% of care for pediatric patients and 50% for inpatients.
- Deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions to support patients in achieving their full functional potential.
- Work with patients of various age groups, from neonates to the elderly.
- Treat both orthopedic and neurological conditions within inpatient and pediatric contexts.
- Oversee the work of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and student interns.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, payer guidelines, and hospital regulations.
- Employ critical thinking skills to deliver safe and effective patient care.
- Provide courteous and professional service to all patients and staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members and communicate effectively across departments.
- Support daily operations and assist in data collection within the medical fitness facility.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and safeguard sensitive departmental information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program in Allied Health Professions.
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the State of Ohio.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules as needed.
- Current certification in CPR.
- In-depth understanding of occupational therapy methodologies in diverse environments.
