Job Summary
The Paper General Laborer/Forklift Operator will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing and distribution process within a paper production facility. This role requires the operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of materials and products while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operates forklifts to transport raw materials and finished products.
- Assists in the loading and unloading of paper products from shipping containers and delivery trucks.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
- Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of forklifts and equipment.
- Adheres to all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as a part of a team.
