Job Summary
The Product Quality Engineer is responsible for establishing and implementing quality processes associated with missile programs. This role involves close collaboration with design and manufacturing teams to guarantee the overall product health and performance. The engineer will spearhead root cause analyses, manage quality metrics, and facilitate the transition from the introduction of new products to the sustainable high-rate manufacturing phase.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute quality assurance processes for missile programs.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to maintain product integrity and performance.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Manage and analyze quality metrics to inform process improvements.
- Oversee the transition from new product introductions to high-rate manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Significant experience in missile or high-velocity vehicle manufacturing and quality systems.
- Expertise in quality methodologies including APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.
