Job Summary
The Physical Therapy Technician plays a vital role in facilitating rehabilitation services by aiding in patient movements, setting up treatment areas, and ensuring the upkeep of equipment. This position also entails carrying out administrative tasks, overseeing inventory management, and acting as the front desk representative for the department.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with transfers to and from treatment areas.
- Prepare treatment areas to ensure they are ready for use.
- Maintain and organize equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Perform clerical tasks including filing, scheduling, and managing patient records.
- Oversee inventory levels and assist with reordering supplies as needed.
- Serve as the receptionist, greeting patients and handling inquiries.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic understanding of physical therapy practices and medical terminology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in healthcare or rehabilitation environments is advantageous.
