Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR is a vital member of the surgical team responsible for facilitating smooth operation procedures. This role involves preparing the operating room, managing the sterilization of instruments, and offering assistance to the surgical team to ensure a successful operation while prioritizing patient safety and maintaining an aseptic environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up the operating room before surgery.
- Ensure all surgical instruments are sterilized and in proper working order.
- Assist the surgical team during operations by providing the necessary tools and equipment.
- Monitor patient safety throughout the surgical process.
- Maintain a sterile environment at all times in the operating room.
Qualifications
- Relevant certification or completion of a surgical technology program.
- Experience in a surgical setting is preferred.
- Understanding of sterilization techniques and infection control procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
