Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the operating room by ensuring the maintenance of exemplary sterile techniques and the proper handling of surgical instruments and supplies in accordance with established protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and organizing the operating room prior to surgical procedures.
- Ensure that all surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and readily available.
- Support surgeons and medical staff during operations by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Promote a safe surgical environment while adhering to strict hygiene standards.
- Participate in the inventory management of surgical supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Contribute to patient care by assisting in post-operative tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and medical terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- Current CPR certification is preferred.
