Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Remote
6-Month Contract
$30-$35 /hr.

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist operates within a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, necessitating a high degree of flexibility and the capability to prioritize tasks effectively. This position demands strong critical thinking, autonomous problem-solving abilities, and adept management of multiple responsibilities while responding to new challenges beyond standard procedures. The ideal candidate should possess experience with databases or systems for data management, which includes tasks such as entering, updating, querying, analyzing, or overseeing data within a database.

Key Responsibilities for the Regulatory Affairs Specialist:
• Assist the team in handling state regulatory processes essential for securing and sustaining registrations, including FIFRA Sections 3, 24(c), 2(ee), 18, and 5 for crop protection products.
• Liaise with state regulatory bodies concerning submissions, approvals, and renewals.
• Keep regulatory databases and internal tracking systems current.
• Digitally file scanned regulatory correspondence and supporting documents.
• Monitor and manage the payment of state registration fees, which may include new product registration costs and annual renewal fees.
• Evaluate product labels for correctness and uniformity.
• Ensure compliance by deciphering and assessing federal and state registration mandates pertinent to our products.
• Offer regulatory assistance and services to internal and external parties.
• Address requests for regulatory information from both internal teams and external contacts.
• Digitize regulatory documents, archiving them in databases or distributing them to relevant recipients.

Requirements for the Regulatory Affairs Specialist:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, along with 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Highly refined verbal and written communication abilities.
• Competence in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience in database management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Capability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with document comparison tools is advantageous.
