Job Summary
The role focuses on delivering empathetic assistance to patients, their families, and visitors, ensuring they receive the necessary support during their time in the hospital. Individuals in this position will help with various hospital-related tasks depending on the needs of the unit, contributing to the overall patient experience and safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate guidance and escort assistance to patients and visitors.
- Support hospital operations including cleaning, meal service, and transport of patients and equipment.
- Assist with telehealth setups and manage supplies as per unit requirements.
- Engage in general unit tasks while adhering to safety, privacy, and infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma, current enrollment in high school or a GED program, or one year of relevant work experience in place of a diploma; preference given to high school students.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and follow both written and verbal instructions efficiently.
- Experience in healthcare or customer service is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must obtain Act 34 clearance with renewal requirements adhered to.
