**Forensic Nurse Examiner**
The Forensic Nurse Examiner plays a crucial role in performing forensic medical evaluations for individuals affected by sexual assault or physical abuse, as well as gathering pertinent evidence. This position also entails delivering compassionate patient care, engaging in research initiatives, and aiding legal processes by responding to legal subpoenas. Applicants should possess a nursing degree (either Associate or Bachelor’s) and have a minimum of 6 months of experience as a registered nurse. Furthermore, candidates must hold a current Virginia RN license and BLS certification, with the expectation to complete SANE certification within 30 days of employment.
