Job Summary
The Director of Production Planning is responsible for overseeing the production planning teams, managing the Master Production Schedule across various manufacturing locations to create feasible plans. This role facilitates cross-departmental collaboration through the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process and addresses issues related to capacity, demand, and material availability.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage production planning teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Oversee the Master Production Schedule to ensure practical and efficient planning.
- Drive cross-functional team alignment through the SIOP process.
- Identify and resolve constraints related to capacity, demand, and materials.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain or operations planning.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in supply chain within a manufacturing context.
- Strong proficiency in SAP ERP software.
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- Aerospace industry experience is preferred.
- APICS or CPIM certification is a plus.
