Job Summary
The Quality Manager plays a crucial role in upholding the standards of the quality management system while spearheading investigations into root causes to ensure product compliance with both customer and company expectations. In addition, this role involves managing relationships with suppliers, performing on-site audits, and monitoring quality performance metrics to promote continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the quality management system to ensure operational excellence.
- Lead root cause analysis to investigate product quality issues.
- Oversee supplier relationships and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with standards.
- Analyze quality performance data to drive ongoing improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science-related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management specifically within the metal fabrication industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in ISO 9001, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Total Quality Management (TQM).
- Relevant certifications from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) are highly desirable.
