Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in orthopedic, neurological, and general nursing will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across various clinical settings. This position focuses on assessing patient conditions, implementing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions, as well as general medical needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patient health conditions and medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to establish and modify patient care plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress, responding promptly to any changes in condition.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and home care instructions.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with nursing practices.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience in orthopedic and neurological nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to work effectively with patients and team members.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be preferred.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
